With the Jeff Davis Yellow Jackets off to an undefeated 5-0 start and reaching their highest AJC ranking since 1962, excitement is building around the second half of the 2026 football season.
But for Jeff Davis Touchdown Club President Scottie Graham, Friday nights are about more than football. They are also about recognizing the players, coaches, band members, cheerleaders and students who put in countless hours representing Jeff Davis County.
With Homecoming against Bacon County set for October 9 at the Pinelands, Graham is issuing a challenge to the community: pack the stadium, be loud and show these students just how much Jeff Davis County supports them.
Below is Graham’s letter to the community in its entirety:
September 28, 2026
To the Jeff Davis County Community,
As President of the Jeff Davis Touchdown Club, I see firsthand the sacrifice our football players, coaches, and their families make each day to put the best possible product on the field each week! Our coaches not only prepare the players to be successful on Friday nights, but also prepare them to be respectful and successful young men throughout their lives.
As a Touchdown Club, we support these young men and coaches in every way we can. It is only fair that we as a community show them our appreciation for their sacrifices and how they represent Jeff Davis County. They truly deserve our full gratitude!
In addition to our football team, Friday nights include our high school students at their best. Our band (The Pride of the Pinelands) puts in a tremendous amount of work to be the best! Their halftime performances and the energy they bring to the stands are unmatched. Another group of hard-working students that play a big part of Friday nights is our cheerleaders, and they do an awesome job! Normally sitting beside the band is our “Student Section”…….it’s worth the price of admission just to see the hype these students bring in to the stadium. These three groups of students do an excellent job of galvanizing the crowd every week.
We are half way through the 2026 regular season schedule and are undefeated at 5-0. Additionally, we are currently ranked #2 in Georgia by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, our highest ranking since 1962.
Our next game will be on October 9th here in the Pinelands. We will be hosting Bacon County in our Homecoming game! For those of you that regularly attend the games, you know what the atmosphere is like……for those of you that do not attend, I encourage you to be at the stadium on October 9th. Let’s show every one of these students how much we appreciate them!! I want to see a “record crowd” at this game to start the second half of the season! Let’s how up and BE LOUD!!
Thank you to the business owners and individuals that continue to support the JD Touchdown Club. Your generosity allows us to make sure our players have the best experience possible.
Thank you,
Scottie Graham
