It’s that time of year again. Fall weather, pumpkin pies, campfires,
and BLUEGRASS!
South Georgia is getting ready to explode with the sounds of banjo
picking, fiddle music, and heartfelt harmonies, as Stagger Lee Music
Park in Hazlehurst prepares to welcome hundreds of bluegrass fans and
musicians from all over the country for the Fall 2026 Headin’ Home
Fest. The dates are October 14-18, 2026 for this five-day celebration
you won’t want to miss!
Hosted by the family band Headin’ Home from Bloomingdale, the
festival is held twice a year, every April and October. Music lovers of
all ages gather to enjoy world-class bands, camping, jamming, food
trucks, vendors, workshops and activities, and down-home family fun!
Stagger Lee Music Park is the perfect facility with over 140 RV hookups,
a covered stage pavilion, bathhouses and showers, laundry facilities,
free wifi, and a shaded river offering fishing and kayaking. And it’s
all located just down the road, at 902 Vernon Williams Road in
Hazlehurst, GA. There are also plenty of hotels nearby for those who
don’t camp.
Headlining this year’s festival is Russell Moore and IIIrd Tyme Out
from north GA—one of the most legendary bands in bluegrass, with a
35-year career and over 50 top industry accolades to their credit.
Russell Moore is coming to Headin’ Home Fest fresh off his 2025-26
tour with Alison Krauss & Union Station. Also appearing at the Fall 2026
Headin’ Home Fest will be Grand Ole Opry entertainers The Kody Norris
Show (TN), reigning International Bluegrass Band Champions Strings of
Green (AR), The Little Roy & Lizzy Show (GA), Nick Chandler & Delivered
(NC), CrossRoads (D.C.), Brad Kaylor & Mineral Bluff Revue (GA), Bells
Highway (SC), The Brothers Five (GA), No Reputation (NC), NightFlyer
(FL), and host band Headin’ Home (GA).
Wednesday night, October 14th, we’ll kick off the festivities with a
free 5:00 PM potluck dinner and open stage featuring local talent.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the stage shows run from 12:00 PM to 9:30
PM each day. Campground jamming goes 24/7! Sunday morning the 18th,
we’ll wind down the festival with a bluegrass gospel jam at 9:30 A.M.
Besides the music, there’ll be great food and drink options from our
food trucks, a variety of craft vendors, and a raffle to win a banjo!
Day tickets and weekend tickets are both available, so come for a day or
bring your camper and stay for the duration. Tickets are just $100 for
