As Jeff Davis County prepares to welcome students into the new Jeff Davis Primary School, the district’s youngest learners will also begin an exciting new chapter. Jeff Davis Pre-K, under the leadership of Dr. Denise Haley, will be housed in the new facility, providing students with a bright, modern learning environment designed to support early childhood education.
With the start of school just around the corner, Dr. Haley is welcoming families and inviting them to visit the new school during Open House on Thursday, August 6, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Parents and students will have the opportunity to meet teachers, explore classrooms, and learn more about the exciting year ahead.
In a letter to Jeff Davis Pre-K families, Dr. Haley shared the following message:
Dear Jeff Davis Pre-K Families,
Welcome to Jeff Davis Pre-K! We are thrilled to begin a new school year with you and your child. This year is especially exciting as we settle into our brand-new building alongside the primary school. We can’t wait for our students to learn, grow, and make wonderful memories in this beautiful new space.
Please join us for our Open House on Thursday, August 6, from 1:00–5:00 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher, explore our new classrooms, and learn more about the exciting year ahead.
Our teachers and staff are looking forward to partnering with you to make this a fun, safe, and successful year for every child. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child’s educational journey. We are excited about the upcoming year and can’t wait to see all of our students soon!

Families are also invited to attend the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Jeff Davis Primary School at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, prior to the Open House. The celebration marks an exciting milestone for Jeff Davis County Schools as students, families, and educators prepare to begin the school year in a state-of-the-art facility designed to serve the county’s youngest Yellow Jackets for years to come.
