Looking for something fun to do this month? The Jeff Davis County Library has a full calendar of activities planned throughout August, offering opportunities for children, teens, adults, and families to learn, create, and connect. From engaging storytimes for young readers to creative craft projects, games, movies, and special programs for all ages, the library is inviting the community to stop by and discover everything it has to offer.
In addition to its monthly activities, the library is launching a new initiative designed to help local families prepare for Halloween. Throughout the month of August, the library will be collecting clean, gently used Halloween costumes and accessories as part of its Halloween Costume Swap. Community members are encouraged to donate costumes their children have outgrown or accessories they no longer use. The donated items will help make Halloween a little more affordable—and a little more magical—for families throughout Jeff Davis County.
Whether you’re attending a children’s storytime, trying your hand at a craft, enjoying a movie, or simply browsing for your next great read, the Jeff Davis County Library offers something for everyone this August. Library staff invite residents to stop in, participate in the month’s activities, and experience how the library continues to serve as a place where learning, creativity, and community come together.
