Growing her nursing career while making a difference! Congratulations to Camry Sanders, an LPN at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital and an Associate Degree in Nursing student at Southeastern Technical College, on being recognized as a Flower Bud Award nominee!
The Flower Bud Award recognizes nursing students whose care makes a meaningful impact on patients, families and their healthcare team. Nominees exemplify integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence—qualities at the heart of exceptional patient care.
Camry’s nomination reflects the difference she is already making as a nurse. Her nominator, Morgan Powell, praised her remarkable bedside manner and ability to connect with patients, as well as the sincerity, compassion and kindness she brings to every encounter. Camry was also recognized for supporting her classmates, sharing her knowledge and leading by example.
As an LPN at Meadows who is continuing her education at STC to become an RN, Camry is a wonderful example of how education and healthcare partnerships strengthen our local nursing workforce. By creating pathways for working nurses to continue their education and advance in their careers, partnerships like the one between STC and Memorial Health Meadows Hospital benefit not only students and employers, but ultimately the patients and communities they serve.
